Storybook Preschool and Daycare is Hiring a Teacher Near Oswego, OR

TEACHERS:Storybook Preschool/Daycare is interested in hiring fun, caring teachers & assistants who are committed to helping students succeed, while building connections with children and families.
EXPECTATIONS:
  • Instill a comfort level for children conducive to a healthy home environment;
  • Provide a warm & accepting attitude at all times regardless of the child’s development level;
  • Discipline with loving & caring techniques to provide positive reinforcement;
  • Passion and desire to teach using the S.T.E.A.M program;
  • Work MON - FRI (no evenings or weekends).
CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS:
Assistant Teacher – Requirements:
  • Be enrolled or agree to, in the CBR (background check registry).
Head Teacher – Requirements:
  • At least 1-year experience w/children;
  • Be enrolled or agree to, in the CBR (background check registry).
Teacher/ Director – Requirements:
  • At least 1-year experience w/children;
  • Management experience with employees;
  • Be enrolled or agree to, in the CBR (background check registry).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist or teach age-appropriate lessons;
  • Foster a classroom environment of safety and respect;
  • Perform daily cleaning routines to keep facilities sanitary and safe;
  • Prepare and help serve snacks and meals throughout the day;
  • Keep parents or guardians updated on their student's daily activities and progress;
  • Monitor outside playtime so students are safely having fun.
WAGES & BENEFITS:
  • Starting at $15 – $19 an hour, based on experience;
  • Holidays off;
  • Paid vacation days after 1-year employment;
  • Growth opportunities in positions;
  • Assistance with education classes (case by case).
These roles require applicants to be teacher qualified, which means you’ve worked in a structured childcare environment long enough and/or taken college-level courses in early childhood education-related subjects to meet the Official of Child Care requirements.
The Assistant Teacher position is perfect for college students looking for more experience working with children.
